During election seasons in Ghana, one event that captivates the moment is political songs for various parties.
Over the past eight years, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) always have artistes releasing hit songs for the party
The best and more fascinating songs among them are ones released by gospel musician Nacee.
His songs, including 'John 3:16' in 2016 and 'Nation Builder Mahama' in 2020 became popular and interesting among Ghanaians, used in political rallies, parties, funerals and even weddings.
Mahama did not win in last two elections, these songs were used by rival NPP supporters for their victory celebrations.
As Ghana's 2024 election approaches, Nacee has released another hot jama song for NDC and John Mahama titled 'Kwen Kwen'
The song has gained popularity few days after being released and stir up conversations among netizens.

Kwen kwen is described as a chant inspired anthem whose rhythm mimics the sound made by local rice sellers hitting a ladle on a pot.
The song highlights upcoming policies by former president John Dramani Mahama, NDC flagbearer, portraying him as a hope for Ghanaians.
Policies mentioned in the song include removal of covid levy, E-levy and betting tax, continuing free SHS, construction of E-blocks, roads, lowering import duties and many others.
The song also encourages citizens to be discerning and vigilant during the election, urging them to vote for candidates under umbrella symbol on ballot papers.
