IRONBOY; Black Sherif releases second album in 2025

Black Sherif, sensational young Ghanaian artist, has released his awaited album in 2025, titled 'Iron Boy.'

The anticipated album (Iron Boy) was finally released on Thursday, April 3. Each song of the album describes the journey of the artist in the music industry.

Iron Boy is set to captivate audiences worldwide and home-base fans of Black Sherif. The project has 15 tracks, which are all recorded by Sherif with two artists featured - Fireboy DML and Shay Vibes, both singers from Nigeria. Sherif presents himself as an irrepressible musical outlaw throughout the 15 tracks, which are a medley of sounds including hip-hop, Afrobeats, highlife, and soul-stirring melodies.

The album delves into a rich tapestry of emotions and experiences, tackling themes of love, resilience, personal evolution, and self-discovery. With each track, Black Sherif invites listeners into his world, narrating stories of triumph, stealth, and unyielding ambition with his distinctive voice and poignant lyricism.

Black Sherif refers to the album as a project of his life story. He revealed that Iron Boy is a raw and unfiltered reflection of his journey, filled with struggles and hard-won triumphs.

In a special interview with Graphic Showbiz, he shared, "This is the biggest project of my career so far. It's not just an album; it's my life, my emotions, and my truth. It tells my story from the moment I stepped into the music industry to where I am now. My struggles, my victories, my doubts, and my faith in my journey are all in here."

Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, hails from Konongo, a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He entered into music after stalling university education in 2019, with the song "Cry for Me" being his first release.

He initially gained popularity in the entertainment industry in 2021 with his "First Sermon," followed up with "Second Sermon" in July of the same year.

In March 2022, Sherif Kwaku Frimpong made a breakthrough with his hit single "Kwaku the Traveller," which reached number 1 on the Ghanaian and Nigerian Apple Music charts. He then released a debut album, "The Villain I Never Was," on October 6, 2022, and is now trending on the highways of African music with the Iron Boy album.

Highlife, Afrobeats, hip hop, reggae, and drill music are genres of Black Sherif's career, having RBA and Empire labels.
